This morning I saw a program about Kristy McNichol on Biography and it was quite interesting. Most people remember her from Family which ran in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was a very successful television show that lasted for five years. McNichol was a highly paid teenage actress and by all accounts a fine one. She made movies and records as well. In her twenties she was diagnosed as being bipolar and later left acting. Today she is retired and due to wise investments and smart business sense has more then enough to support herself without returning to the big, or small, screen. She is 48 now and involved in charity work-she has never married.
